Sweet treats: Nutritious and sweet this colorful potato is a favorite ofeverywhere. Not only does the sweet potato contain fiber and potassium (like white potatoes) but they are also rich in vitamins C and A. If sweet potatoes are not available you can use yams for this delicious dish.
2 medium sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup cream
Pinch of nutmeg powder
Heat oven to 175 C.
Wash sweet potatoes well and after making some holes in the skin bake in tin foil for about one hour and thirty minutes or until tender.
Melt butter in pan and mix in cream, salt and pepper and nutmeg but do not let mixture boil. Keep warm.
Slice baked sweet potatoes into 1 cm thick rounds. Place slices in dog bowl and pour cream and seasoning over them.
Makes about 2 cups of sweet potatoes.
