Why do wet dogs always shake on you?

No one has really figured out why they shake in front of you after getting wet, but there are some speculations and interpretations about this behavior.

Some people say its because they –alike kids do- want to show us that they have completed the task they were asked to perform, or that they feel so happy because we let them refresh themselves in a hot warm sunny summer day or just because of the opposite. That is, they –also alike kids- are so mad at us for daring make them take a bath when they didn't want to do so.
