Why do female dogs squat?

Believe it or not, not every single female dog squats, at least not always. A small group of females, especially those that are strong-willed or have features of leader lift their legs as male dogs do. Female dogs will also do this when they want to "spread the word" that they are in season and therefore available.

We have to accept, nevertheless, that they almost never reach heights comparable to those of male dogs. This has to do with body structure and nothing else but nature. Dog or man, there's no doubt both have an enviable position in relation to females, and that is . . . they have a better gear to aim its urine at whatever predetermined target they have settled for. This isn't something any of us should be bragging about, but it's so cool we've decided to keep it just like it is.
