Why do dogs bury bones?

Well, basically, they do this because their saving some food for when there is nothing else to eat. Incredibly, this is a behavior they must thank there ascendants for; although they'll never have to worry about their meals. Among the wild relatives of dogs "caching" (how the behavior is called) is very

common.

It might seem funny, but I think dogs don't "cache" as they used to in the mid-20th century. This might be a result of lack of places where to do it, or may be due to owners becoming well informed about the consequences of shards in the dogs stomach. As you know the force a dog's jaw is 100lbs./inch3 which is enough to break any of our bones.
