Puppies That Paw At People

A

puppy that paws at a person is simply looking for some kind of attention. There are some puppies however that will paw at a person in a more aggressive way while there are others that are gentler about it. However the objective of both is the same; they are simply looking for their owner to look at them, play with them, spend time with them, feed them, take them out etc. Usually when a puppy paws at a person they get the response they are looking for, remember that even when you push the puppy away it will cause the puppy to come back for more as he will think that it is entertaining that you are pushing at him and he will just come back to pester you more. If your puppy paws at you to the point where it is annoying you, simply ignore him completely. When you see that the puppy starts to engage in another activity, praise him gently.
