San Diego Pet Sitting
A friend of mine told me about his experience with San Diego Pet Sitting and said that when his dog came back from dog boarding he got sick with diarrhea and was a little stressed. We talked about this situation with a San Diego Pet Sitting expert and here are some of the suggestions he told us to follow along with when this type of thing happened. He said that in order to help the dog the owner must allow the dog to relieve himself before he drives him back home from dog boarding. If the dog has diarrhea, the owner should feed him bland foods, which can be boiled chicken and rice for example, otherwise the owner can just stop feeding the dog for around 12 to 24 hours so that the dogs system gets a chance to rest. Obviously the owner needs to call the veterinarian to let him or her know about it as well. He suggested my friend wait for around four hours after they arrived home from giving the dog any food or water as this will also allow the dogs stomach to calm down. If the dog seems thirsty during this time the owner can give him some ice cubes to quench his thirst. Don’t panic if the dog sleeps more than usual after coming back from dog boarding, it is normal for a dog to sleep more than usual for a few days after coming back to his home. If the dog is coughing it is possible he might have tracheobronchitis, which is contagious, and the veterinarian will need to be notified in these cases. Thanks to the San Diego Pet Sitting expert my friend was able to provide his dog with the necessary treatment and in a couple days the dog was fine. |
