Detroit Pet Sitting
My kids, my husband and I live in Detroit and Pet Sitting was something that we all had to learn about when we got our dog Tigger. Our Detroit Pet Sitting caretaker gave us some important information on how the do’s and don’ts with dogs when you have children living in the house. It is very important children learn about a dog’s warming signs, sounds and body language. Kids need to learn that there are different types of warming signals and that different dogs give different signals. Some dogs simply walk away from a kid that is bothering them while there are others that might growl. If a dog stiffens his back this is also a clear warning signal. We were very grateful that in Detroit we have Pet Sitting caretakers that teach these kinds of things. Another things that parents should never allow their kids to do around dogs is scream and scare a dog when he is sleeping as it could lead a dog to bite. Dogs don’t usually bite for no reason; biting is usually caused when someone provokes a dog in some way. Make sure to teach your child the proper way of playing and moving around a dog. Remember also that in the case of smaller children that run it could cause a dog to react as well since some dogs see small kids like prey causing them to chase after the kid, which in turn could cause the child to scream and the dog might react by becoming aggressive or worse yet, biting. Obedience train your dog as well and socialize him so that he can be around children. In our neighborhood in Detroit, Pet Sitting awareness is something we have all gotten into to prevent accidents. |
