Colorado Pet Boarding
If you live in Colorado pet boarding may just be the solution you were looking for especially if you have a very high energy dog, that you as a pet owner cannot dedicate enough time to. Pet boarding facilities have been designed for dogs that need more attention than they are getting or for dogs that become anxious when alone, are very energetic and need socialization time. An example of some very energetic breeds are Labradors and golden retrievers that are actually very sociable dogs that enjoy getting out and playing a lot. Puppies and young dogs might also benefit from these types of programs as well. If you have a dog that has weight problems for example or an older dog, these types of programs might be useful too. Dogs that are used to laying around all day and are overweight will become motivated by seeing other dogs run around and play and will most likely follow along with what the other dogs are doing in the day care programs. There are many veterinarians and professional trainers that are actually suggesting older dogs get into these types of programs to motivate them, obviously that is as long as the dog is in good health. Ok, so obviously this sounds good but a big concern for pet owners is if their dog will fit in with the rest and the truth is that not every dog is made for these types of programs. The boarding facility personnel will need to first evaluate the dog and see if the dog’s temperament is appropriate for the rest of the group. A dog that is aggressive cannot be accepted into a Colorado pet boarding facility. |
