Hemorrhages

Cure Hemorrhages in Dog

One of the most amazing qualities of dogs is its dynamism, and its euphoria that sometimes causes him problems, as cutting himself when going over broken glass or through pricking wire. Most of the cuts and scratches aren't serious and only requires of a calm owner to apply the first aids, to clean the wounds and to bandage it. If there are deeper cuts, the hemorrhage maybe harder to stop. If you observe a deep wound, an important cut or a nasty bite, go to the veterinary. No matter what kind of injury. Even if your dog is affectionate, the pain can make him unusual things, as to try to bite you while treating him. It is recommended to use a muzzle with an injured dog before applying the first aids. Being the wound slight or not, you can do many things to control a hemorrhage and to make the injuries heal faster.

Daily Cuts: Slight cuts are not serious, but they are annoying. You can stop the hemorrhage easily by pressing the wound for a few minutes with a clean cloth. When everything is under control you must do several times to accelerate the healing and to avoid infections.

Clean the Wound: Wash it to kill germs and avoid infections. It's enough to use water and soap, but try to use an antiseptic solution that contains clorhezina, on sale in drug stores.

Cut His Hair: When the hemorrhage has been detained and the wound is already clean, it's important to keep it that way. Long hair does, overall, require a hair cut around the injured zone to avoid hairs getting into the wound. After cutting the hair surrounding the wound. Apply some Vaseline on the injury so the hair may stick to it. After, wipe off the Vaseline with the stuck hair using a clean cloth.

Deep Cuts: Serious cuts, produced by for example, going through a glass door or stepping over a sharpened piece of metal, are nor frequent, but require a fast action, the first thing is to stop the hemorrhage.
