Basic Rules of Obedience A dog doesn't have to be like lassie" to be a good patient , but he does have to know certain basic orders, as "sit", "stay", "down" or "stop". Dogs that know these basic orders are easier to handle when making examinations, ears cleaning or other chores. Fogs can learn to obey at any age, but they do it faster ad easier as three months of age. Training is not a one day task. Dogs need to practice since puppies and during their whole life. Consider your pup as a child learning to walk and to learn he needs to persevere and to practice constantly. Adult dogs can also learn to obey, but it takes time to acquire new habits. Practice with him some minutes every day. |
