Proper Diet For A Nursing Dog
This diet is almost identical to that of a pregnant dog, with exception of the amounts. Now that the dog's organism no longer has to make an extra effort (see diet for pregnant dogs), you can increase the amount of food. If the litter is numerous, you can give the mom an extra meal a day, early in the morning, consisting of liquids, for example milk and honey and tree bark flower. Her cereal food must be based on oats, because it helps to increase the amount of milk and contains a more digestible and concentrated protein than any other cereal.
Healthy dog must be able to nourish her litter -- smaller big -- for nine weeks. The Arabs believe that a healthy nursing stage should be as long as the stage of pregnancy. Hence, the mother must breast-feed her litter for nine weeks or more, in the same way that a human mother would for at least nine months. But with the ever-increasing anti-natural modern food frequently the milk runs out or becomes acid after only four weeks; in the case of us humans, we usually turn to devitalized evaporated milk to feed our babies.
