Noon Meal for Puppies

SECOND MEAL: noon (for puppies up to 4 months)
Oatmeal, wheat, barley or rye porridge or a mix of all of them put to soak in cold milk for the whole night. Sour milk is excellent for this purpose (soaking). Add to this porridge some finely chopped raisins and a teaspoon of grated coconut. Alternatively, cereal flakes can be to soak in cabbage or nettle water. Since barley is more digestible than all the other cereals, you can use it during the weaning period, as long as you can find it. For puppies that are in growth, the perfect cereal food is one that consists in two parts of barley flakes and one of oat flakes (the kind that is commercialized in packages to make porridge), foot to soak in the cold fresh milk. To this mix, you add two or three slices of whole wheat bread, from days past. If you prefer to put cookies or flour, use only the ones that do not have chemical elements, the kind of healthy homemade cookies which are really integral. If you want to give the puppy fruit -- grated apple represents a healthy food -- just mix it with cereal flakes and milk. Nowadays you can find in stores a mix which consists of four cereals and herbs elaborated following my formula. Add a teaspoon of oil. This ingredient is particularly required in long haired breeds, although all canine breeds need to drink some oil. I consider that, nowadays, the only harmless oils are sesame, corn or sunflower.
