Naturally Treating Of Milk Gland Diseases for Cats and Dogs
"False" milk generally presents a problem to female dogs, as well as the excess of milk, after weaning. In the first case, the grievance presents itself in female dogs that haven't been pregnant yet and produce milk in the season in which, if they had been crossed, they would have had a litter; nevertheless, female dogs that have already had a litter can also develop this problem, the "false" milk when they haven't been crossed. The treatment of this disease is exactly the same as the treatment of metritis, although without the external shower, and of a shorter application period; for example, the one-day fast, followed by two or three days of a diet based on milk and honey. For this disease it's more beneficial to use the milk in its sour state: that way it becomes a laxative. As for the external treatment, apply consistent massages to the breasts with a mint tea infusion; this can also be done with lettuce leaves.
In the cases where the mother still has an excess of milk after the puppies have already stopped breast feeding, you should apply the same treatment. If you have any doubts, ask your veterinarian for further advice.
