Naturally Treating Dog Sprains As a rule of thumb, sprains are caused by running on hard surfaces, especially beaten ground, or due to a bad posture when landing after a big jump. The sprain makes the dog be in a lot of pain and limp around a lot. There is also sometimes a bruise in the affected area.Treatment: Rest and cold water and vinegar applications are the solution. There is an old remedy which consists in applying a lime-and-cow-dung paste. Smear the paste onto the affected zone and softly bandage it. Before applying the paste, though, you need to cleanse the area. |
