Naturally Treating Dog Rheumatism Rheumatism is a generalized disease in dogs, particularly old ones that live in humid climates. This doesn't mean that the humidity is the sole cause of this affliction: for this pathological state to appear, the organism has to be, primarily, in a weak and sick state. There are also some animals that have a hereditary predisposition to rheumatism, but like most diseases it can be treated with natural remedies. The areas that are most affected by rheumatism are the shoulders and chest. The back and legs are sometimes affected. Limping sometimes occurs in the legs. The only way to avoid rheumatism is by giving your animal a diet based on natural raw meat, in a clean and spacious place, free of urine, and in contact with sunlight and fresh air.Treatment: Antiseptic herbs, in particular garlic; honey is also very good for this purpose as its alkaline properties reduce the acid deposits in rheumatism. Parsley infusions are excellent for the recuperation of your animal. As for external treatment, give you dog massages with a lotion based on seaweed and thyme in equal parts. Apply it hot. Also, along with the raw meat, add fresh finely chopped celery leaves. That should get your dog back into action. |
