Naturally Treating Dog Parvovirus
The term "parvovirus" means "The little virus" ("parvo" means "little"). To describe this disease in its entirety, I would need a whole book in order to talk about something that has claimed the lives of millions of creatures around the world, not counting the other bunch that have died but haven't been counted because their owners didn't know what had happened to them. This virus is believed to first appear around 1980, and it has spread like wildfire all around the world, both in the number of diseased and in the severity.Be it serious or mild, veterinarians describe this disease as the most "cruel, horrible and dangerous" of all canine diseases. I do agree with that, but I do also believe that it can be cured, just as long as it is done the natural way. Treatment: This must be immediate if you want it to work; almost as immediate as with cases of poisoning. Simply treat your dog as if he were poisoned, with the difference that the poisons that affect the nervous syste m require sedatives, as well as internal disintoxication. The longer treatment is actually one of prevention and it starts when you choose the right mother for breeding. From the day she gets pregnant, she has to have a good diet and a lot of exercise. Once the puppies have been born, try to have them nurse as much as possible and not to wean too early.Remember that a good diet based on raw meat and natural foods is of utmost important if you want to have healthy dogs for generations to come. |
