Naturally Treating Dog Otitis

This inflammation of the ear is very common in dogs, in particular breeds that have long eardrums, which don't allow the air to circulate normally. There is a kind of otitits that can only be treated with surgeries. It is mainly due to hereditary problems in which the dogs have stretched out air conducts, making it impossible for the air to pass; therefore, surgery is the only way to make a conduct. Long ears, especially, must be cleaned on a daily basis with an infusion based on rosemary in the following doses: three parts of rosemary for one part of hamamelis (extract).

Treatment: numerous cases of otitis have been cured by simply using natural lemon juice (not the artificial stuff you find in bottles in supermarkets, though). The dose is as follows: half a teaspoon of lemon juice diluted with a tablespoon of warm water. Apply the infusion mentioned above. And, after that, apply some oat flower.

Note: the ears are very sensitive organs, so the internal cleansing by means of cotton swabs with the tweezers must be done very carefully. Use new cotton swabs for each ear.
