Naturally Treating Dog Metritis
This a uterus disease which affects female dogs of any age, even those who haven't procreated, and it is more common than what people generally think; there are countless female dogs that have vaginal flow and it's nothing more than an undiagnosed metritis. It is generally believed to be a germ that attacks the uterus, although I believe in a not-so-heard-of theory: that it is simply a case of a symptom of a catarrh (a common cold). Catarrh comes from the Greek word meaning "a flow that drops", and this kind of flow can occur in any part of the body where there is mucous membranes; therefore, there is colitis in the intestines, metritis in the uterus, and so on. This affliction is characterized by a purulent stinky flow that comes form the vagina, pinkish in color, and when very copious, it is accompanied by a high temperature.
Treatment: Elaborate an infusion with the fruits of the wild rosebush. If you can't get the fruits, use the leaves although they're not as good. These, the fruits or leaves, must be crushed and then made into an infusion, in the customary way. Strain well. This infusion can be improved by adding hamamelis extract – a teaspoon for every tablespoon of rosebush infusion (which is the normal dose). In addition, it is advisable to wash the animal's vagina with lavender flower infusion. Apart from that, the dog has to go on a fast for a couple of days, consuming milk and honey.
