Naturally Treating Dog Leptospirosis

We can classify the grievances known as Leptospira Canicola and Leptospira Icterohaemorrhagiae as "new". They were hardly heard-of when I started my veterinary labor about sixty years ago, but now they are everyday diseases. So much so that European owners are asked to give their animals the triple vaccine which will protect their animals not only against distemper and meningitis, but also against these two kinds of leptospirosis.

A healthy dog does not acquire the leptospiral infection; this again takes us to the fact that a healthy diet is of foremost importance. This disease is commonly called "the light post disease" because the urban dogs are believed to sniff around these pots where infected dogs have urinated. This might be surprising, but it is believed that around 50% of all city-dwelling dogs are infected, which does not mean that they suffer from the disease, yet they are prone to doing so.

Treatment: The same treatment as for distemper. The affected dog must fast and rest, meanwhile being administered antiseptic herbs and honey. Even though the disease is considered to have fatal consequences, I have been able to cure many dogs using my herbal methods.
