Naturally Treating Dog Leathery Skin
The cause of this disease could probably be the abnormal secretion of the glands (the pituitary gland, the sebaceous gland, etc). Sometimes, it can be due to a hormonal deficiency. As with most diseases, the origin of this one is also internal. The symptoms of this disease are: the skin gets thick and leathery; if the disease is not stopped and keeps progressing excessively, the dog can easily die.
Treatment: The treatment here is similar to that of obesity or other glandular problems (go to the section on obesity). Administer abundant amounts of garlic and seaweed. Externally, massage the skin with an infusion made of garlic and castor oil.
