Main Meal for Puppies

Fourth and main meal: 8 o'clock in the evening
(for puppies up to 4 months)
Meat: about 50 g (same as mentioned above). The bones have to be given together with the meat, as without the bones it is unnatural. Besides, a teaspoon of whole wheat germ (there are a reliable brands in the market which you can turn to) and a same amount of wheat brand. If you do not have bran, use some oat flakes.

Besides, a teaspoon of cod liver oil during winter or a teaspoon of olive oil. Additionally, a sprinkle of powdered sea algae, due to its wonderful natural mineral properties, in particular iodine, which foments dense body hair and it reinforces the nervous system.

Besides, a teaspoon of fresh vegetables: fresh parsley, mint, watercress, nasturtium and/or celery leaves. It's always recommendable to mix several of these herbs. The leaves must be finely chopped with a very sharp knife until you reduce them to pulp as dogs go through difficulties to digest cellulose.

A ration of this vegetable food every day is essential for your dog's health. Chopped, raw onion is also excellent; the dose is of 1 teaspoon. It is very effective combating skin diseases or against worms. It is recommendable to give your dog several days a week two or three vegetable anti-septic tablets, like herbs like garlic, rue, eucalyptus, etc. you can also administer raw eggs with the meat or with cereal food. It might be necessary to make slices in the meat in order to avoid that the dog removes the extras, which you must rub inside the meat. Or you can use some cold water to get the extras to adhere to the meat.

Most dogs love dried fruit, especially figs and raisins. Both fruits are very used in the Middle East for Saluki greyhounds and other breeds.
