Dog Weaning
It's impossible to give specific norms regarding the weaning of the puppies because the act of weaning varies a lot according to each breed and even according to each puppy. I can assure you that a premature weaning can severely affect the health of the puppy in such a way that puppy will have a predisposition to epileptic attacks, hysteria, gastritis and worm infestation. Therefore it is extremely important to pay as much at attention as possible.
Is each breeder's personal experience which determines the exact amount of food that you must administer to each puppy and when to feed and when to make them fast.
One of the most common mistakes when it comes to weaning puppies in the West is the hurry with which breeders proceed to giving solid food. This can hardly be blamed on the commercial brands of dog food as the companies that produce them motivate dog owners to wean their puppies as soon as possible thus having to buy their products. As little weaning, as opposed to a fast one, is a must, as nature has not prepared the stomach and intestines of the young carnivore to digest more than milk for at least until the fourth week of life.
The commercial brands are usually based on refined and fly word and starches, which will be digested to a certain point, but as the same time this rough the digestion process in the stomach and intestines, making the blood become acid and loading the digestive organs with mucous membrane, thus provoking ideal conditions for the development of worm eggs, streptococci bacteria and the virus of distemper.
