Diet for a Full Grown Medium Size Dog
Midday:
Whole wheat, oat, barley, rye flakes soaking in natural milk or in vegetable juice. I have tried an flake flour consisting of four cereals including herbs, a food that is already popular among dogs. Sour milk seems to be excellent with this kind of mix. You can add wheat or rye bread, integral cookies made of the same cereals, as well as whole wheat flour (without cooking). You can also mix raw eggs into the cereal; all this around four times a week. Likewise, you can add corn, sesame or sunflower oil – the dose is one teaspoon for a middle sized dog; use much less if the dog is fat.
Note: No adult dog should eat before midday; the hours between midnight and midday are exclusively for them to eliminate. Little snacks here and there can be harmful for the dog. Nevertheless, hunting breeds like the greyhound, which have small stomachs, often require a meal in the morning instead of at midday.
