Cat Weaning

Starting on the fourth week, compliment the nursing with:

8 a.m.: preferably fresh, raw, non-evaporated and non-pasteurized milk, thickened with a gruel of oatmeal or barley.

12 a.m.: same as the first meal, but without the gruel. Instead add some oat flakes

4 p.m.: same as the previous one

8 p.m.: same as the first meal

Note: after six weeks, limit the daily intakes of milk to only in the morning (eight o'clock) and at midday. You can also start giving small spoonfuls of raw meat or slightly cooked fish at four and eight o'clock in the afternoon. Add a pinch of seaweed. You can also add parsley, mint, celery and watercress.

Another thing to bear in mind is that kittens, as opposed to puppies, might need more frequent meals in the first weeks after weaning.
