Cough Medicine for Dog

We had to get some dog cough medicine for our puppy dog because he had developed a bad cough. I was amazed at the variety of dog cough medicine available both in stores and online. Our puppy is still in the socialization phase – which is a sensitive period that occurs between three and twelve weeks of age – when puppies learn to very quickly accept a human family as their substitute pack. In the same manner, children very quickly accept dogs into their worlds and lives and both benefit from the mutual company. Even though it is true that both humans and dogs have the same needs for company, the fact is that we do not speak the same language, and in consequence, communication can sometimes be a bit of a problem. Hugging an animal is something that comes natural for humans when we love a dog, but for a dog it is different since they only do this when they are fighting or mating. Dogs have a very big need for social contact and they prefer to be with their family as much as they can. There are even some dogs that are not able to take being left alone and that can actually suffer from real panic when their owners leave them alone. If you have ever heard about or had a dog that destroys and tears up the house, this may have been the problem. Usually this type of behavior occurs when humans are unable to understand the reactions of their dogs. Because of this fact, dogs need to learn to be left alone for periods of time starting at a very young age and even more so if our intention is to get them to adapt well to the type of situation we live in.
