It is possible for the term dog enclosure to mean something different than dog kennel or dog run both of the expressions are dog enclosures built to keep dogs safe and protected while at the same time keeping others safe and protected from the dogs. Unfortunately there are many things these days that dogs must be protected from; thieves, malicious neighbors, wild animals and strays. Many of the dog kennels, runs and enclosures on the market today are well made and solid enough for any size dog but if your dog is particularly big or energetic be sure to get a dog kennel that is made specifically to meet the challenges of keeping a big dog contained. Even small dogs need to have their needs met and so you should never take for granted that just because you have bought your dog an enclosure it will now be fine and only need to be walked and fed. Putting your dog inside a run means that your dog will need to be trained how to behave inside its new home, where to use the bathroom and what it is not allowed to do. The advantages of getting kennels runs or dog enclosures far outweigh any disadvantages but you must be prepared for the extra work in the beginning.
