Wheat Bran and Fiber For Dogs
Did you know that feeding your dog a sprinkle of wheat bran on his or her regular food will help to increase the fiber intake it gets as it ages?
Fiber is also very important in a dog's diet. It helps to absorb water and get things moving in the intestines. Make sure though, that the food you're feeding your dog does not contain more fiber than necessary. If you are not sure about how much you should give your dog ask him or her. Some of the common fiber sources can be found in commercial dog foods, rice brand, peanut hulls, and cellulose.
Dogs and Mites
If you notice that your dog is constantly shaking its head, paws its ears, rubs the side of his or her face, but does not seem to show any signs of infection such as inflammation, swelling, oozing etc) in its ears, it could be that the dog has mites. Make sure to always keep your dogs ears clean and dry to avoid mites from getting into them.
