I had a very nice wood dog house that needed some repairs. I called around and found many different stores and individuals who told me that t
hey were willing to help. I called some of the well known companies and even though I don't have name brand wood
dog house they were still very nice to me. They asked me what I wanted done and they gave me some helpful information about costs, types of material available and what my options where. But then I found out that the
house had termites. The problem with termites turned out to be so bad that it required me to get a new
house. I thought about getting a cedar wood
dog house but then I wasn't sure if I even wanted another wood
dog house because everyone started telling me that termites are always a problem down here where it is warm and wet. One of the things I was concerned about was not just that the termites would eat the wood
dog house but that the termites would also bite my dog. I didn't believe so, but some relatives of mine were convinced that yes, indeed the termites bite people and animals. Well again I asked around and believe it or not I got different answers from different sources. If you ask enough people the same question you will always find someone willing to share your opinion. Ha Ha!
But seriously, I came to the conclusion that the simplest thing to do was just not to get a cedar wood
dog house. So I opted for a fiber glass, one which was painted very nicely and looks good in my yard. And the best part is that I don't have to even think about termites anymore.
