Weight Gain for Dog

Dogs have a tendency to gain weight when they get older. This is a problem that must be watched. Weight problems usually occur because the dog no longer does as much exercise as he used to when he was younger and he eats and sleeps more. When a dog does not burn physical energy, the heart has to work harder at burning it. In these cases it is necessary to put the dog on a diet by limiting the amount he eats. The veterinarian will probably suggest for you to give your dog some substitute foods (maybe certain vegetables) and vitamins.
