Understanding Puppy Dog Body Language VS its Needs

Understanding Puppy Dog Body Language VS its Needs

Your puppy will also try to communicate with you in the only way he knows how by moving his body a certain way, moving his ears, his tail, and through facial expressions etc. One very important thing to keep in mind is that there are certain things that can have an affect on a puppy which do not affect humans at all. Sometimes puppies do not want to play with someone and prefer to be left alone and it's good to know how to read the signs of these things. Another thing to consider is that everyday is different for a puppy and that there are days in which the puppy will simply not want to get up; there could be different reasons for when this happens, such as when the puppy gets sick, is in pain, if it's teeth are coming in etc.

Newborn puppies have a very big need to sleep a lot. About eighty five

percent of their day as a newborn requires for them to sleep. You will begin to notice that when the puppy is four or five weeks old, his need for sleep reduces meaning he now only needs about sixty five percent of sleep in a twenty four hour period and because of this, it's important to respect the puppy's sleep times and to keep your children and family aware of it. There are specialists that believe that sleep stimulates the puppy's brain in the first few months of life and it also increases the puppy's instinctive behavior and gives them a better understanding of the human language. Whenever and if a puppy develops a bad habit, you must never blame them. A puppy's bad habit is due to a mistake the owner did; perhaps the puppy was pressured into learning something too quickly, or was yelled at etc. Each breed and individual puppy has a different way of capturing and understanding things and because of this, a great deal of flexibility and patience is required of the dog owner.
