Training dogs for walks out in the countryside

Training dogs for walks out in the countryside.
Foreword: It is crucial that before the start of any exercises out in the countryside that the course instructor makes a check of the area to be sure that there is nothing that could pose a risk to either the dogs or trainers.
Any exercises performed in the woods or forested areas must also never break any local laws or endanger any of the local flora or fauna.
The course instructor must also keep in mind that at different times of the year the conditions for which care must be taken change. For example in spring when most of the animals are giving birth, great care must be taken that none of the teams inadvertently damage any nests or homes of birds and other animals. Or during hunting season the course instructor must take care that at no time are any of the people or animals under their care in any

danger from hunters. Care must also be take that no animals or people who might wander into the training area are put into danger or feel threatened by the presence of so many dogs etc…

Training dogs for walks around tree trunks. The dog trainers have to walk, one after the other, around different tree trunks and/or street light poles with the dog on the end of the leash (held loosely as when taking a casual walk). The idea is to teach the dog not to pull its master into the tree trunk but rather to go around it. To do this is it is also necessary to teach the dog the command "Back up" both verbally and with the hand sign.

Training dogs for walks with the leash "Bandolier" style. With the leash around the shoulder of the dog trainer "Bandolier" style the teams have to walk around trees, under branches, through tight spaces in between bushes, around underbrush, over tree stumps and other obstacles. The idea is that the trainer and dog become accustomed to the leash being loose and the trainer not having to use their hands to correct the movements of the dog.
