DogHouse special recipe
The origins of the Dalmatian are thought to be in Dalmatia. But this breed's ample distribution is said to have happened from when it traveled with the nomadic Romanians. Dalmatians were valued for its handsome looks and for being a coaching dog for horses. After the coaching practice ended or declined in the eighteenth century, Dalmatians were put to work in a new place; fire houses, and this seemed to be something Dalmatians highly enjoyed since they love water, and have lots of energy.
Ingredients
4 lamb kidneys
½ cup all purpose flour
Salt
Ground pepper
2 tablespoons oil
1 clove garlic
Kibble (see recipe) or rice
1 tablespoon parsley
1 lemon slice
Take the membranes off of the kidneys, and cut them in half sideways and take out the white core, then cut the kidneys into small pieces.
Mix the flour and the salt and pepper to taste in a mixing bowl. Then, put the kidneys into the seasoned flour, and take out once they are seasoned. Heat up the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add in the kidneys and garlic, cook for about 4 – 5 minutes, stir continuously.
Put some kibble or rice in the dogs bowl. Put the kidneys on top and sprinkle them with some parsley and a dash of lemon.
Makes 1 ½ cups kidneys.
