If you have decided to acquire a dog that is over six months of age, don't just guide yourself by the way the dog looks. Before taking it home with you, test his temperament by seeing if he is willing or not to obey and respond to an order you give him. Another good indicator is if the dog reacts well to being touched. If you see that he is frightful, and nervous about being touched, or if he barks excessively you may want to reconsider getting that specific one.
