Steak, kidney, and kibble dog pie recipe
Ingredients
¼ cup flour
¼ teaspoon marjoram, dried
¼ teaspoon thyme, dried
Salt
Ground black pepper
1 cup sliced boneless steak
½ cup beef, or veal, trimmed of fat
Dough for 12 cm pie
1/3 cupkibble
½ tablespoon garlic, minced
½ tablespoon mustard
½ cupdog broth
Previously heat oven to 175C. and grease a pie plate.
Combine flour, marjoram, thyme, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
Add in the steak and toss it around to cover it with the seasoned flour. Shake off the excess flour and put the ready meat to the baking dish. Add in thekibble. Mix the garlic and mustard with stock and pour this over the meat andkibble.
Roll out the dough into a circle and put it over the top of the pie plate.
Crimp the edges of the dough and seal it closely. Bake it for 25 – 30 minutes, or until you see that the crust of the pie is crisped and browned. Let the pie cool before serving.
Makes a 22 cm pie.
