Spanish Hound puppy dog. Spanish Water Dog Puppy. Sloughi
These dogs descend from the Sloughi, although they probably have roman ancestors. From the Middle Ages the Spanish Hound has been the favorite hunt dog in Spanish high society. They even appear in famous paintings and known artists' works, such as Goya's "La partida de caza". They are used as herd wardens, hunt dogs and race dogs. These dogs are slim and graceful, but muscular nevertheless. One of the most obvious features in the Spanish hounds is the noble head, long and narrow, and the long tail that reaches the floor. Their dark eyes are most vivacious.
Character of the Spanish Hound: These dogs are very obedient and quiet, being excellent companion. They like indoors life, especially after their first youth, and even though they like running, they are not required to do it. Spanish hounds are docile and sweet, as well as very tough.
