Rottweiler Dog Breed InformationA Rottweiler is a dog from the butchers of Wittenberg, it received its name from the city of Rottweil (Germany).Height, weight: up to 68 cm high; weighs up to 58 kg. Is robust and primitive. Fur, color: roughly adherent, short and a good amount of under hair. Intensive black with clear brownish-reddish linings over the eyes and around it nose, cheeks, chest and paws. Appropriate for: families with children, that love sports and that have a big yard available.  Not Appropriate for: people that don't like sports and precipitants. As a member of the family: an excellent guardian, even though it doesn't bark much. Anxious and forewarned. A very good dog for the family. Breed's character: slow physical and psychic development, but is fast in learning. Has a strong character, is not wandering or vagabond. Was used, in past times, for watching over the livestock, and later on as assisting the armies police. Needs to eat a lot. Common sicknesses: narrowing of the eyelid; hip disorders, almost non existent. Robust. Life expectancy: up to 10 years. |
