Rewarding your dog effectively
As you work with your dog you will quickly become aware which treats are his favorites. Try rotating the types of snacks or games and toys that you offer your dog during training sessions to avoid him from becoming bored. Always keep some snacks or toys in your pocket when spending time with your dog to enable you to reinforce his good behavior. Some rewards that you can use include:
- Dry dog food
- Dog biscuits
- Rawhide chews
- Synthetic bones
- Rubber rings
- Balls
