Rapid Dog Commands

Rapid Dog Commands

Rapid commands consist of training your dog by rapidly commanding him. How is this done?Teach him how to obey you in rapid sequence. Quick commands call for your dog to focus his undivided attention to you quickly. You can carry this out by starting a sequence of rapid commands. Start by commanding your dog to "sit", then, "come", then, "down", "up", "heel", etc. at various speeds. This cycle can be done for about fifteen to twenty seconds to begin with. Once you have that down, start by doing one-minute sequences and eventually four or five. These rapid commands are an excellent way of stimulating your dog's mind and burning up your dog's energy. Doing this often will also develop your dog's dependability and enhance his obedience abilities.
