Pyrenean Mountain Dog BreedIts a gallic relative of the Pyrenean Mastiff. Height, weight: from 65 to 80 cm high. Weigh between 70 to 80 kg. Fur, color: long, thick and straight hair, it's longer behind its legs and in it neck. Its hair is usually always pure white, but may have a couple of gray, yellow or orange spots in its head or in it tail. Appropriate for: those who live in barns or in big houses in the countryside. Not Appropriate for: those who live in small houses. As a member of the family: devot ed, affectionate. Won't tolerate injustice. Can be kept in the open air with its family. Breed's character: besides its elegant aspect, it won't stop being the rural guardian it is. Is not too friendly with strangers, and when watching over its territory -its animals, barn or family- it might be dangerous to get near it. Common sicknesses: hip disorders. Life expectancy: up to 10 years. |
