A man came into our clinic one day with a tiny little dog. It looked like a Pekingese but it wasn't pure bred and there were some other things mixed in. When he filled out the paper work he wrote down his puppy dog name as "Rat." How sad that someone would take such a cute little dog and give it such an awful name. I am sure that the man's parents never would have thought of calling him such a dreadful name. Thankfully dogs can't understand the meanings of English words.
