Growth Puppy Dog Food

Dogs grow quickly. With care and correct feeding, dogs of half size will reach the mature weight and the sexual maturity when they have about nine months of age. Small dogs growth a little faster and big dogs slow. Since the growth of the puppy is important, it is vital a well balance diet. A mature dog can tolerate deviations from the diet for months or even years without apparent noxious effects, while an unbalance feeding in a puppy can affect serious problems in the dog's growth in just weeks. This chapter describes simple methods of feeding that determine a healthy and progressive growth until the dog reaches the maturity age.

Supplementary dog food: If you plan to keep all the puppies, and the dog for some reason does not produce enough milk to maintain her normal weight, it is convenient to include supplementary milk to her diet. It is essential to weigh each puppy daily to find out if any of puppies are loosing weight. If a puppy shows a delay in his development, you must provide him with extra two or three supplementary takings per day. Fed the puppies with a baby bottle, alternating as frequently as it is necessary to get the correct weight in the puppy.
