Prepare your dog for grooming
Start out by putting your dog on a high place like a table, that way you won't have to be squatting down to groom him. Put an anti slip mat under the dog so that he feels more confident. And have all the items that you will need ready and close by, such as the dog's brush, scissors, combs, etc. Hold your dog by putting one of your hands underneath the dog's stomach, and hold his collar with your fingers using the other hand.
