Dog Training Commands. Praising and orders dog puppy

There are two ways of reinforcing an order: The positive way (treats, games, free time) and the negative one (telling off, loud noises, pulling the leash). We advice the following:

Games: Game is one of the most natural praises between the owner and the dog. The owner must play with the dog from the moment it is a pup. Now, playing with a dog does not mean fighting, or letting it bite constantly or provoking it. Playing with an object is adequate; it can be a ball, a toy or anything else, as long as it isn't hazardous. If you use a ball you mustn't play near a highway or an avenue. With this procedure, you exercise hunting instincts, as well as possession instincts. It is important to know that you will play with the dog only if he accomplishes the objectives you set for his training. To teach the dog how to let the pray go, you can use two toys. In the case of a dog that is too possessive, you must make them get used to give the prey willingly. Never take the toy without the dog's consent. Always play with the dog outside, so it doesn't get used to playing indoors.

Freedom: If a dog is not used to running a lot, letting it go would be a great relief. Using this as compensation is fundamental if you wish to obtain good results in training and, especially, in communication. In fact, try and use it directly or indirectly.

Food:You can only use this when the dog is hungry. At the beginning of the exercise, it is convenient to have had the dog fast for 24 hours, giving it food when it does the exercises right. Remember you must not show the food, it has to be a surprise for the dog. Using food gets velocity and attention when training. Nevertheless there's the risk of having to feed it every time you want the dog to obey your orders.

Dog Training Commands

You must always give the orders with authority and firmness, but never yelling, or varying tones and words. For example, if you say Sit! And the dog doesn't; then you get impatient and change your tone: now you shout SIT! (Which for the dog is a completely different order) And then you end up saying "Listen to me!" (another order) you will have a very confused dog. A dog will listen to you perfectly even if you speak quietly, so if you see you have to repeat the order, do it in the same tone, or maybe in a lower one. However, the best would be to say the order one time and then say nothing. It is important to use the words "good" to praise and "bad" or "no" to show something's not correct, although petting the dog and ignoring it will work as well. If we don't react correctly to a negative conduct, for example when the dog growls and you say "honey, behave OK?" the dog will think, from the tone of your voice that its conduct is good. The same happens when we have a visitor in the house, if you say " quiet, he's a friend" it will not understand and will think you're praising it. But if you say "No!" Your dog will know it is not supposed to do it.
