Poodle polenta recipeIngredients Pinch of salt ½ cup cornmeal ½ cup milk Pinch of ground black pepper 1 cup grated Parmesan cheeseBoil some water in the bottom of a double boiler. In the top part of the double boiler, directly over the heat, boil 2 cups of water with the salt. Add in the cornmeal very slowly and gently, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Take the pan off the heat and put it over the boiling water. Add in the milk and pepper and cook covered over the boiling water for 30 minute s. Occasionally stir. Stir the cup of cheese in and remove it from the heat. Wet a flat dish with some cold water and spread the cornmeal mixture on the dish. Let it cool down. Preheat oven to 200 C. and grease a baking pan. Cut the polenta into 3 centimeter squares and put them on the baking pan. Sprinkle some cheese over the polenta and bake until the cheese has melted and lightly browned. This should take about 10 minutes. Makes about 10 polenta squares. |
