If you are looking for a dog house let me give you a couple of opinions of my own. I had both a plastic dog house and a cedar wood dog house. The plastic dog house I found to be better for a number of reasons. Firstly plastic doesn't rot in humid weather. Down here it doesn't rain too much but it sure is humid almost all year. Its terrible if you have wood because your always having to deal with the smell of humid wood and of course the rotting. But plastic isn't affected at all by the humidity or rain.
So if you live in a location where the weather is mostly humid or where it rains a lot. I absolutely recommend that you get a plastic
dog house and not a wooden
dog house. Another reason that plastic is better is because it isn't affected by the little bothersome bugs we call termites. Termites are a terror to any wooden structure and if you have your wooden
dog house outside it becomes a prime target for the wood hungry beasts. Also a plastic
dog house is much easier to clean. All you have to do is take everything out and hose it down, scrub it clean and let it dry. And if your dog has problems with dribbling urine or when your girl is in heat etc… plastic doesn't get stained but cause the undesirable fluids don't penetrate as they do in the case of wooden
dog houses. The last thing is that plastic is much lighter than wood and so if you need to move it you don't need half the block to give you a hand.
