Pet safe bark control

As long as my dog was indoors he was fine but the minute he went outside all hell broke loose. He would bark at anything and everything and with all the vigor of a dog gone mad. I tried many things but nothing seemed work well. I had limited success with a Petsafe bark control collar but since I couldn't leave it on him for extended periods of time I had a problem. When my dog wasn't wearing the collar nothing could stop him from going ape over the slightest provocation.

I didn't want to use the static shock version of bark control products as I found the ultrasonic Petsafe bark control products to be better.

The solution that I finally came across was the Petsafe Ultrasonic Bark Control System.

This device can be used inside or outside and it is activated by a microphone which picks up the sound of your dog's constant barking. It then lets out a 2 second ultrasonic sound which is only audible to your dog. The sound is both unpleasant and startling and usually causes the dog to not only stop immediately but quickly associate this sound with his barking. Once he realizes that it is his excessive barking which triggers this noise, half of the task of training your dog to not bark is done.
This Petsafe bark control product should be placed at least 3 meters or so away from where your dog normally barks. You can also use this unit to teach your dog other behaviors. For instance if your dog has a problem with eating garbage or jumping on everything and everyone that moves you can simply use the manual correction button and the unit will emit a two-second ultrasonic sound.
