Dog Pedigree Problems

Pedigree problems: Dogs and humans have had a very close connection for thousands of years. We have observed that prehistoric hunters discovered that wolf dogs were able to be trained to help them hunt. This was how prehistoric hunters started domesticating and facilitating dog's means to procreate by putting the better "built" dogs together depending on their physical qualities with the sole purpose of helping them in their hunting. Later when man abandoned this sort of lifestyle they started training and breeding dogs to take care of their flock and livestock.

Humans from long ago have favored and enjoyed the existence of certain breeds with determined characteristics. An example of this is flat faced dogs as well as toy dogs which were and still are very popular because of their original looks. Awhile ago, a big hype started with pedigree dogs, most commonly known as pure breeds, because people like to use these dogs to participate in dog contests. This is actually where the actual standards of each breed begun, and there is a series of rules which determine the physical and psychic features that are considered desirable and undesirable. Dog breeders have emphasized the progress of certain physical features which would then give the dog bigger possibilities of winning a contest.

Questions and answers
Q:
We have children in our family and my wife and I would like to get the kids a dog. What breed is the most adequate for all the family?
A: The best type of family dogs is Labradors and retrievers because they have really nice personalities. They are also very fast learners and are easy to train and they make excellent companions for all the family. Retrievers do have a tendency to suffer from certain hereditary defects so make sure you pick a puppy that has healthy lively parents.
Q: I am a senior citizen and I am interested in getting a dog for companionship. Do you think it is wise I get a dog considering my age?
A: Getting a dog is a great idea and even more so at your age as it will give you great companionship and this is definitely recommended! A puppy might be a handful for you, but perhaps you could check out an animal shelter and see if you can find a middle aged mixed dog that is quiet and friendly.
