Nutritious Liver Squares for Dogs Recipe
Ingredients
½ lb of raw beef liver
2 eggs
¼ cup of yellow cornmeal
½ cup of white corn flour
¼ cup of soy flour
A pinch of garlic powder
2 tablespoons of beef broth
Preparation
- Place the oven rack in the center of the oven and pre heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place 1 slightly greased baking pan on the side.
- Put the beef liver inside a blender or food processor on high speed and blend them down to a paste. Then go adding in the eggs one by one.
- Use a large bowl and a wire whisk to mix the cornmeal, white corn flour, soy flour, and garlic powder together.
- Next, blend both the dry and wet preparation together with a spoon or use your hand until it becomes a soft dough and starts to pull away from the bowl it is in. If it is too dry add a teensy bit more broth to it.
- Pour the dough evenly out onto the baking pan and bake it for around 20 to 25 minutes or until you notice the cookies are light golden brown and the edges are dry. Once done, remove the tray from the oven and with a pizza cutter cut the cake into small squares. Turn the oven off and allow the cookie squares to cool.
- Once the cookies have cooled, put them back inside the warm oven in one baking tray and allow them to sit in there undisturbed without opening the oven door for 10 to 15 hours straight.
