Large Dog House Plans

Last night I got onto the web looking for a large dog house plan and came across a very interesting web page. The person who had created this page told about how he had tried to find help creating a large dog house plan, but how he could not find one. He said that he had visited pet retail stores, hardware stores, department stores like Sears etc… but had had no success. He then had looked online to try and find plans for building dog houses but again he had no luck whatsoever.

Finally some local construction companies had held a competition for dog house building which was open to the public. So by looking over these different models he had been able to come up with the different ideas he needed. Then he drew up his plan, purchased the material and went to work. He posts pictures of his first attempt at building a dog house as well as his subsequent constructions. Needless to say his latter ones where better than his first.

He also mentions that he isn't an architect or a vet or dog care specialist which is to avoid and legal repercussions I imagine. But what I found more note worthy was his explanation of the fact that before anyone attempts to build a dog house it is essential to check with the local authorities. As there may local laws about constructing on your property. Not only might you need a building license but you might also have to have your large dog house plan approved by a licensed architect. I thought that this was very good advice.
