Kerry blue
The Kerry blue terrier is a symbol of Ireland. This originated about one hundred years ago in County Kerry. The Kerry blue terrier has many abilities and it is a hard working dog. Some of its abilities include: police dog, water retriever, cattle dog, and children's babysitter amongst others.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 kilo boneless lamb, cut into cubes
2 ½ liters water
1 cups chopped baby cabbage
4 cups diced carrots
2 parsnips, diced
2 cups potatoes, diced
2 cups cabbage, shredded
Salt
Ground black pepper
Kibble
Use a big pot to heat the oil in medium heat. Then, add in the lamb and brown on all sides evenly. Add in the water, baby cabbage , carrots, potatoes, and parsnips, and bring them all to a boil. After it starts boiling, reduce the heat and simmer the stew uncovered for 30 minutes. Add the cabbage during the last stage of cooking as well as the salt and pepper to taste. Cabbage should be ready within 10 – 15 minutes. Put some kibble into the dog's bowl and serve it together with the stew.
Makes 8 pints of stew.
